There are two ferry operators providing sailings from Newhaven to Dieppe. Hoverspeed and Transmanche both provide three daily crossings.

Hoverspeed Ferry Company

Hoverspeed operates modern high-speed monohull vehicle ferries and catamarans.


The company is the primary fast vehicle operator on the English Channel. Annually Hoverspeed carries over 700,000 cars and three million passengers across the channel to Ostend in Belgium and Dieppe in France. Hoverspeed offers three daily crossings from Newhaven to Dieppe. Crossing time is just two hours.

Transmanche Ferry Company

Transmanche Ferries operates two vessels, both of which offer regular crossings between Newhaven and Dieppe. The Dieppe has cabins equipped with showers and toilets. Facilities on the vessel include a shop near the reception, a self-service restaurant and movies that are shown during each sailing. There is a bar that serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Their other ship is the Sardinia Vera, providing similar amenities. Both of these modern vessels have a crossing time of four hours.
